There have been many speculations about a Harry Potter RPG for quite a while. Warner Bros. had plans apparently to bring it into attention at the E3 2020 event before it was dropped due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was later reported that a Harry Potter RPG is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X in late 2021. Such a thing could be the greatest case scenario for fans of the franchise.
But, as Sony and Microsoft have been somewhat cagey about information like the costs of next-gen consoles, games on display in different showcase events point to a massive potential for a magic-centered title.

Getting more power to develop visually-appealing spells while putting more into every area thanks to tech such as SSD means the RPG aspects of a Harry Potter game could flourish. There are games like Dark Souls that offers players many options to express themselves.
