A new petition asks Nintendo to accelerate to the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the next entry in the popular video game series. More than 12, 000 people have signed the petition, which appears to be quite popular.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people from all over the world are forced to remain within their houses as access to schools, offices, and other public places has been restricted in an attempt to limit the spread of the virus. This means that many people have extra time that could be spent while gaming.
The creator of the petition argued that the game would offer the chance to join a virtual gathering among friends, enjoying a comforting campfire while one of the NPCs provides soothing background music. Many people are looking forward to the release of the anticipated game, and Nintendo could attract some positivity from the community by releasing the game earlier.
About Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Early reviews are already available for the game, and it seems that the critics are quite pleased by the experience. One of the most interesting traits of the series is represented by the fact that in-game events will take place in real-time, which may be a bit surprising for new players.
During the early hours, the gameplay experience may be a bit slow as the players will have to build a new community on a remote island. However, this was an inspired decision as it offers an exciting approach to meeting and interacting with NPCs, in comparison to previous titles where the player character was the only human in a village inhabited by anthropomorphic animals.
A revamped progression system will offer rewards even if a minor task is completed, which is a great way to make the gameplay more rewarding in the long run as players unlock new items.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons should be released on March 20, 2020.
