The 2020 iPhone will come with a new design change, probably bringing back the iPhone 4 style. We know a lot of rumors, including the one that says that the phone will come with a 120Hz ProMotion display.
Right now, the Apple iPad Pro lineup of tablets come with this particular display. If their 2020 smartphones will also feature this display, it would actually be a huge improvement from the well-known 60Hz displays, which is currently used for iPhones.
So we get that 120Hz display
According to some sources, the 2020 iPhones will come with a 120HzProMotion display, which is also featuring on the iPad Pro lineup of tablets. iPhone, with this kind of display, could become the rival of the Pixel 4, which also rocks the very same display.
The report also takes about a new rate OLED panel. The ProMotion display would be an LCD one. This actually means that the OLED panels from the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max that we all so love won’t be changed for the ProMotion feature.
This ProMotion technology is made to increase the rate of the areas of the screen where it is needed. We are talking about those portions of the screen that shows high refresh rate content – these will have the technology-enabled.
When’s the release date of the 2020 iPhones?
This lineup is expected to have a design overhaul, with the design scheme of the iPhone 4, with a flat back of flat edges. It will also come with support for 5G, which does not feature on iPhone 11. There is no official release date so far. But since iPhone 11 was released back in September 2019, we expect the iPhone 12 also to be released in September next year.
