The famous Assassin’s Creed game series returns in the fourth quarter of 2020 with its new iteration called Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Relevant trailers had been revealed by the developers from Ubisoft recently, as the game is already available for pre-ordering. But a significant part of the fans had proven themselves disappointed by one of the trailer, and for justified reasons.
You know that widespread scenario when the developers promise you a gameplay trailer for a title, but instead, they provide you a video that mostly features in-game cinematics. That’s exactly what happened in the case of the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla game, and it annoyed the fans.
Affliction on social media on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
A significant number of fans had been complaining on social media about what Ubisoft brought up for them with the new trailer. Here’s the video:
As you can easily see for yourself, there’s barely any action going on during the one and a half minute long trailer. Even most of the comments from YouTube are severely criticizing Ubisoft for the video. The footage gathered far more dislikes on YouTube (around 33,000) than likes (approx. 20,000).
Next-Generation consoles availability
However, there’s also some good news related to the next iteration from the Assassin’s Creed series. Microsoft and Sony will release by the end of the current year their next-generation consoles: Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, respectively.
If you’ve noticed the Xbox Series X logo at the end of the above trailer, then the conclusion is obvious: the game will also be available for the upcoming Xbox console. And although we don’t have any confirmation that the game will also be running on PlayStation 5 consoles, it would be absurd to happen otherwise. PS5 shouldn’t fall short in any way.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also be available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia.
