CD Projekt Red postpones again the much-awaited Cyberpunk 2077! Such unexpected news came after a series of previous delays.
Cyberpunk 2077 is indeed one of the highly-anticipated games this year, and the November 19 release date seemed just right.
How much we’ll have to wait now? Why is CD Projekt Red doing this?
Here is what you need to know.
A New Release Date For Cyberpunk 2077
According to CD Projekt Red’s official statement, the reason for this delay is the struggle of shipping Cyberpunk 2077 not just for the current-generation consoles, but for PC, Stadia, and, of course, the next-gen consoles. But that’s not all.
While the game’s next-gen variant won’t be available until 2021, the game studio still has to check everything out to be sure the game runs flawlessly on the Xbox Series X and PS5’s backward compatibility features. We’re really confused, and some fans had expected so much more.
CD Projekt Red had even announced that the game had gone gold, meaning that we don’t have to worry about any postponements.
In the recent statement, however, the devs detailed that Cyberpunk 2077 is finished in terms of having all the content in it, but some improvements might be needed to “raising the quality bar.”
Furthermore, the game studio stated that it undercalculated other stuff that needed to be done for the game. So, how much will we have to wait?
The perfect Christmas gift
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on December 10, 2020. While some fans will be very upset that the game has been delayed again, others will understand that this decision was made to be sure the game will be at the highest quality possible.
Until then, many other big titles are waiting for the big release this November. So, grab a napkin, hold your tears, and be patient. These holidays will be the best so far!
