Next-generation gaming consoles will be “substantially” more performant than current-gen ones.
Electronic Arts seem to be very impressed with what they’ve observed at next-gen consoles, as they recently stated that the PS5 and Xbox Series X “substantially” more potent than present-gen consoles.
CEO Blake Jorgensen said during an investor call: “The power of the new consoles is gonna be substantially greater than existing consoles.”
He also added that they could do “a lot more” with the upcoming gaming systems. He furthermore stated that the things they are doing “will blow people’s minds.”
Jorgensen was referring to EA’s plans for next-gen hardware when he made the affirmations and hyped upcoming goodies from the game developer and its partners.
Thanks to the recent progress in the gaming industry, some new genres will be introduced soon.
Microsoft and Sony’s next-gen gaming systems will hit the market during the Holiday season of the current year.
The two systems will be similar specification-wise, as both are expected to run in smooth 8K resolution, ray-tracing, and backward-compatibility.
However, this means that some minor details will have to be the core selling points of each system.
Launch titles will be relevant to each console: The Xbox Series X will launch with Halo Infinite and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2.
Sony’s system will feature the stunning ARPG Godfall at launch.
We hope to see a comparison between the two next-gen gaming systems soon!
