Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 8 Remastered are getting a fresh release before Christmas.
Fans of the Final Fantasy franchise are in for a blast this Christmas, as Square Enix announced a fresh release for the Nintendo Switch and PS4.
Square Enix decided to release physical versions of two of its most popular games.
First, there’s Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 8 Remastered Double Pack for the Nintendo Switch. Isn’t that amazing?
The duet will be released in physical form on December 4.
Both remastered editions feature a plethora of improved and new features, including a triple-speed mode, a Battle Enhancement mode, and the ability to disable enemy encounters altogether.
The official description spells out an exciting future for the big release:
“A timeless classic loved by a legion of fans across the globe, Final Fantasy VII is an epic adventure culminating in a battle to decide the fate of the planet which has fallen under the dominion of Shinra Electric Power Company, a sinister corporation monopolizing the world’s energy force.”
Final Fantasy 8 will take players through the story of Squall Leonhart and Rinoa Heartilly as they fight to defeat an evil empire.
“Over 20 years on from the game’s original release, FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered breathes new life into the game’s characters and story like never before.”
Final Fantasy 8 will also receive a physical version for the PS4.
Unfortunately, no announcement regarding a double pack for the PS4 was made.
That either means that the company is building up a bit of suspense or that they chose not to release the duo for the PS4, sadly.
Stay tuned for more information on that subject!
