Apple’s AirPods are some of the most desirable in-ear headphones of the moment, but their price tag makes them a bit of a far-fetched acquisition for some people. In the past, many Apple customers expressed their frustration provoked by the fact that the AirPods weren’t included in the box their iPhones came in, even though the price of Apple’s flagship smartphones rose steadily over time.
However, that might not be the case anymore: A report says that “smartphone vendors including Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi are looking to bundle their new models with TWS earbuds next year”. TWS (short for truly wireless stereo) earphones are the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy Buds and Apple’s AirPods.
Skepticism
The AirPods’ starting price is $159, so many experts are questioning the probability of Apple including such a costly accessory in the box of the next year’s iPhone’s while also maintaining the same price people got used to.
Also, AirPods are extremely popular, statistics say, so Apple might not be really keen on giving them away for free, since many people are willing to work a few extra hours to afford purchasing them.
However, technology keeps evolving and people want more and more features for the money they pay, which might motivate Apple to make a step forward and include something more modern than the traditional EarPods that they bundled with iPhones for years now.
Boosting production
Believe it or not, the AirPods are such a hot gadget that Apple is reportedly doubling the means of production in order to meet demand.
Apple’s truly wireless earphones are officially the world’s best selling TWE, so it is likely for them to play it safe and think it all thoroughly to make everybody happy.
