Apple has proceeded with the start of new trial production for the iPhone device series. The device they are working at is going to be a new iPhone SE 2, also known as iPhone 9. We heard many rumors in the past about this upcoming production, but now we have the confirmation.
The information is coming from a new report from China confirming Apple’s production of the iPhone SE 2. As per the report, the upcoming iPhone SE 2 will launch in this year’s March. The new iPhones are currently being manufactured in China, and we also found out from the report that Apple has placed an order of 30 million units of the upcoming phone production.
Reconfirmation of the rumors
The report is available on the Chinese site MyDrivers and reveals the supply chain sources. The report states that the regular mass production of the iPhone SE 2 will commence in the next couple of weeks, which in other words, means that the mass production of the phone will start this month in February.
The report also suggests that Apple will launch the so-called iPhone 9 in the first quarter of this the year, which means in March, confirming the exact rumors we previously heard about.
There are no new details on the specifications. The report has not granted us with any news on the spec and features on the upcoming Apple phone. All we know so far are just speculations, like the display size (4.7inches) and the fact that it will have a similar form factor like the iPhone 8 model.
The iPhone SE 2’s processor is rumored to be identical to the one on the iPhone 11, a Bionic A13 chipset. iPhone SE 2 is supposedly featuring a 3GB RAM, and besides the most basic internal storage versions, 64GB and 128GB, the smartphone could be featuring a 256GB version too.
