Motorola has been hard at work in recent months, and the new G8 range will be released soon in Brazil.
As in the case of other recent releases, Motorola will offer three versions of the device in the form of the Moto G8, the Moto G8 Plus and the Moto G8 Play. As in the case of previous Motorola devices, bits of data about the devices have been leaked in advance.
Leaked renders have already shown the looks of the G8 Play and G8 Plus. The two devices will sport a quad-camera array on the rear and notches in the shape of a teardrop.
The latest leak focuses on the Moto G8 Plus. According to the leak the device will use the Snapdragon 665 SoC, which was mentioned by other sources in the past. It is a great power improvement in comparison to the Snapdragon 636 SoC which makes the device a worthy upgrade for those who have the G7 Plus. The mighty processor is paired with 4GB of RAM, and it seems that it will run Android 9.0.
The decision to use Android 9.0 is a bit interesting since Motorola prefers to use the latest version of Android for their devices. It is likely that an Android ten update will arrive after the smartphones are available since Motorola strives to keep their devices updated.
The leaked benchmark can be found on the popular Geekbench platform. The device reached a 307 single-core point and 1310 in the case of the multi-core test. Within the leaked image, it is mentioned that the device uses an eight-core Qualcomm chip placed on a motherboard, which is known as trinket. This is the only device in the range that has been benchmarked, but it is likely that more information will be available in the future.
Other details remain a mystery until the official release takes place.
