HMD Global confirmed the release of an upcoming smartphone series. Though it unveiled its 5G smartphone on an online event back in March, a flagship device will also be revealed. The device is said to be the sequel to the Nokia 9 PureView, and most likely to arrive with a penta-lens camera module. But, until HMD Global doesn’t release any statements, we can’t be sure which smartphone will make the cut.
What We Should Expect Based on Reports and Rumors
HMD Global has reportedly under development the Nokia 7.3. The smartphone is said to be revealed alongside the Nokia 9.3 PureView in mid-Q3 2020. The latter is believed to be the long-speculated flagship smartphone, according to NokiaPowerUser’s report. The device was rumored to be introduced as Nokia 9.1 PureView and Nokia 9.2 PureView.
As for the Nokia 7.3, it might support both 4G and 5G connectivity. And if such a thing turns out to be accurate, the smartphone will be the most affordable 5G device. It could also be even more affordable than the Nokia 8.3 5G released in March alongside the Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 1.3.
The Possible Release Date for Nokia 7.3 and Nokia 9.3
The mid-Q3 release, however, seems most likely to happen. Reports suggested that the upcoming Nokia smartphone series might be released then. We can expect everything to happen, as long as HMD Glocal decides to stay silent about its future smartphone launch events.
However, we should be sure about one thing. If the COVID-19 pandemic crisis won’t settle down, it’s impossible to see any of those smartphones getting a launch date. A mid-Q3 release event remains, for now, the most plausible option. The company might as well announce some of the Nokia 7.3 and Nokia 9.3 features in the coming month. So, be sure to stay tuned for the latest announcements.
