OnePlus eight has been a hit for the company as the popular flagship killer continues to deliver impressive at a price that is often considerably lower in comparison to the products of the competition. As in the case of previous releases, OnePlus is already working on an 8T version that will bridge the gap between the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 9.
The device will face tough competitors nonetheless as the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Plus will be available soon, along with other flagships that are currently in the making. However, it appears that OnePlus may have an ace up its sleeve.
Faster than ever
Fast charging has become a prominent in recent years, allowing users to make the most out of their devices by charging them considerably faster. It is rumored that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 range will come with 25W fast chargers in the box, while owners will have the option to purchase a 45W fast charger separately.
On a popular technology discussion platform, several users have mentioned a new fast-charging speed for the OnePlus 8T, which is mentioned in the beta files for Android 11. It appears that OnePlus has been working on 65 Super Warp charging for the device, which is more than double of the 30W speed supported by the OnePlus 8.
Rushing from 0 to 100
Tests have shown that the OnePlus 8 can be charged from 0% to 63% in 30 minutes, with the 25W charger powering the S20 Ultra to the same percentage within the same timeframe. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC could facilitate the implementation of the blazing-fast charging standard.
It is also rumored that an Ice Blue color version could be available, but it is not clear if it will be present in the case of the OnePlus 8T or 8T Pro. Both models should be released in the fall
