You might remember Pablo Escobar. Yes, that Pablo Escobar. Last year we were presented the Pablo Escobar Fold 1, a smartphone created by Pablo’s brother in his homage and meant to be the world’s most affordable foldable phone – also a “Samsung Killer.”
A new foldable phone from the very same manufacturer was introduced, and its name is just as impressive – the Pablo Escobar Fold 2.
About the phone
The Pablo Escobar Fold 2 is just as suspiciously cheap as his predecessor, costing only $400. The foldable phone is the brainchild of Roberto De Jesus Escobar Gaviria. However, even though the first phone was meant to put Apple to shame, the new iteration is branded as the “real Samsung killer phone.” They are also using a controversial marketing slogan: “Rest in peace Samsung, Pablo always wins.”
Design & manufacture
The Fold 2 is allegedly designed in the United States and put together in Hong Kong, with parts originating from Shenzen, China. The renders, however, suggest that it is a dupe of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 1, with an additional Pablo Escobar Inc logo branded on golden paint.
Also, the two smartphones seem to share the same specifications: a 4,380 mAh battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, and a main 7.3-inch display running on Android 10.
There are some noticeable differences, though: the Escobar Fold 2 doesn’t have six cameras like the Galaxy Fold does while also costing about 80% less than the Galaxy Fold. That sounds pretty tempting.
