Phil Spencer confirmed that Xbox will be at E3 2020

Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, has confirmed that Xbox will be present at E3 2020. Spencer made the news public via Twitter by saying: “Our team is hard at work on E3, we look forward to sharing with all who love to play what’s ahead for us. Our artform has consistently been propelled by the cross-section of creativity and technical progress. 2020 is a milestone year in that journey for Team Xbox. #XboxE3 #E32020

Rivalry with Sony – is this a marketing plot?

The confirmation comes shockingly soon just after Sony announced that they are going to skip this year’s event, for the second time consecutively.

This year is a very big milestone for Microsoft and Sony alike, with their next-gen consoles just around the corner.

The Xbox Series X

From the looks of it, it appears that E3 will set the scene for the Xbox Series X, which has already been revealed to the world. Spencer put an accent to the fact that 2020 is going to be very important to Microsoft’s gaming console.

The Xbox Series X will be released sometime around the holiday season of 2020, so it would make sense to see more of the most anticipated games for the Series X, especially Halo Infinite, which is believed to be a launch title for the new platform.
