Pokemon GO is getting ready to introduce another exciting event soon!
Pokemon GO players will be able soon to join a new adventure, thanks to the August Community Day on August 8. The event will bring Magikarp and let players earn many of these Pokemon and evolve them into Gyarados. Here is what you need to know.
Pokemon GO’s August Community Day Features: What to Expect
Pokemon GO will offer players a new adventure on August 8. The August Community Day will star Magikarp and the chances to evolve these Pokemon into Gyarados. Players who want more out of this event can purchase a special ticket from the in-game store. The Making a Splash Ticket will be available for $0.99.
After buying the Making a Splash Ticket, players will get access to the Magikarp Community Day’s field research challenges. Players can’t start those challenges until the Community Day event has begun.
The Magikarp Community Day starts on August 8, and it will be available from 11 AM to 5 PM in players’ local times. But, if players buy a Making a Splash Ticket, it will only be active during the event. Such a thing means that players will need to finish all the challenges and collect the rewards within the six hours the event is running.
How to Evolve Magikarp into Gyarados
To evolve Magikarp into Gyarados, players will need 400 Magikarp candies. Because of this, players should use their Pinap Berries to earn as much candy as possible.
To evolve Magikarp into Gyarados is a hard task, but it’s definitely worth it due to the power given by Gyarados and its usefulness in raids and gyms.
The exact challenges aren’t fully known yet, but players should expect some of the best rewards so far. Pokemon GO is now available on the App Store and Google Play.
