Chinese phone manufacturers are continuing to show to the world that their creations can compete with those of Samsung, Apple, and other top companies. After plenty of companies from China had been launching outstanding smartphones in the recent years (Huawei, Xiaomi, Lenovo, OnePlus, or Oppo), it’s now time for Realme to shine.
While Realme 6 Pro is expected to be a great addition to the smartphone market, the Realme 6i is arriving until that day. 6i is weaker in specifications than the 6 Pro device, but it’s also more affordable and can be the perfect smartphone for many people.
The launch will be on April 16
While public gatherings are not a good idea at all in these times when the new COVID-19 disease keeps spreading throughout the world, we can see the launch event for Realme 6i only online.
But what will the phone be capable of? Will it ever be able to compete with Realme 6 Pro? 6i is confirmed to have the Helio G80 as a chipset, an octa-core up to 2.0 GHz. The display is a beautiful 6.5 inches high HD+ that will be exhibiting photos made with the camera setup from the rear, or the selfie camera of 16 MP. The main camera has 48MP f/1.8 + 8MP f/2.3 ultra-wide + 2MP f/2.4 macro + 2MP f/2.4 depth. The phone also arrives in two storage versions (64 GB and 128 GB), and in two RAM variants (3 GB and 4 GB).
The battery for the Realme 6i is another impressive piece of technology. With 5000 mAh and being capable of 18W quick charge, the smartphone should be able to last for more than a whole day at full usage.
It’s great to see that more and more tech companies from China are increasing their activity despite the country being affected by the new coronavirus.
