With GTA 5, Rockstar brought to the game pretty much everything a fan of role-playing and open-world titles could possibly wish. Destroying and stealing cars, shootings, killing, flying jets, explore the depths of the sea, drive boats, hunting animals, pick up hitchhikers, or even walking a dog – these are all ingredients for GTA 5, the best selling game of all time with over 120 million copies sold across the world.
But the developers from Rockstar never cease to amaze us, as they’re continuing to offer plenty of attention to the online mode of the game (aka GTA Online). The company announced that a future update will bring a new location to Grand Theft Auto V.
Release time: summer 2020
The new update could easily bring a new and diversified island near Los Santos, as there’s plenty of room for that across the vast amounts of water. Rockstar didn’t leave room for interpretation when it comes to the new location:
“Later this year players can expect more big updates for both games, including some exciting new extensions and augmentations to an existing role in Red Dead Online, and the biggest ever update for GTA Online, featuring our latest take on Heists in an entirely new location.”
Obviously, the fans would prefer an entirely new Grand Theft Auto title (namely the long-anticipated GTA 6), but this news is still better than nothing. Getting the best out of GTA 5 at this point seems more profitable than to release an entirely new game. GTA Online is an increasing phenomenon, and its tremendous number of players won’t go down anytime soon.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The game will also arrive as an enhanced version for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
