It’s official! Samsung Electronics has recently announced the new Galaxy S10 Lite alongside the new Galaxy Note 10 Lite. Those are built on the legacy of their Galaxy S and Galaxy Note predecessors, bringing key premium features like the newest camera technology, the signature S Pen, an immersive display alongside a high power battery at a very accessible price tag.
Affordable premium devices from Samsung
DJ Koh, President, and CEO of the IT & Mobile Communications Division of Samsung Electronics said: “The Galaxy S and Galaxy Note devices have met consumer wants and demands around the world. These devices represent our continuous effort to deliver industry-leading innovations, from performance and power to intelligence and services.”
He also made it clear that the new devices will provide the key premium features of a traditional Galaxy S / Note experience.
Galaxy Lite devices feature a bundle of camera capabilities and specs that are based on the industry-leading camera modules from Samsung in a very affordable package.
The Galaxy S10 Lite brings amateur photography to a whole new level. The device features a main Wide-angle camera unit alongside Macro cameras, Ultra Wide lens, and the new Super Steady OIS. When combined with Super Steady mode, the Super Steady OIS returns improved stability for action-based photos and videos, allowing users to share their world and experiences in a flawless manner.
The Ultra Wide camera uses a 123-degree angle lens, similar to the human eye.
Samsung Galaxy Note devices are famous for the premium experience and boosted productivity that they provide, especially because of the sharp screen and the signature S Pen. The new Galaxy Note10 Lite features Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) which means that users can control the content on their smartphone, navigate a presentation and many more with a simple click of the amazing S Pen. The Air Command feature allows for even easier access to the S Pen functions.
The bundled Samsung Notes app allows for faster and easier creation of notes while on the go. The updated app also lets users turn those handwritten notes into text for convenient sharing and editing.
The new lineup of Lite devices really puts an emphasis on premium features and low pricing:
Both devices will offer edge-to-edge Infinity-O displays. The display is 6.7 inches wide, providing an immersive and pleasant experience by letting users efficiently enjoy the multimedia content they desire.
Also, the battery was upgraded for both devices, now capping a surprising 4,500mAh of charge, with embedded super fast charging capabilities that allow people to stay connected longer and be less concerned about autonomy.
Additionally, both devices include Samsung’s ecosystem of apps and services, like Samsung Pay, Bixby and Samsung Health. Obviously, these Lite devices are also very well protected by Samsung Knox, which proved to be very efficient over the years.
The Galaxy S10 Lite can be purchased in Prism White, Prism Black, and Prism Blue.
The Note10 Lite, on the other hand, is available in Aura Red, Aura Glow, and Aura Black.
Both devices can be observed at CES 2020 where they will be displayed in the Samsung booths (#15006).
