Rumors regarding the Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup made the headlines lately, and, as there are three months or less left until the announcement, the whole lineup is cloaked by a blanket of mystery. However, Steve Hemmerstoffer managed to get his hands on some renders and a 360-degree video of Samsung’s upcoming flagships.
The Unique Camera Bump
The images depict the regular Galaxy S21 5G model. It packs a fresh look that focuses on an improved camera design that grants a unique look.
Samsung ditched the dull all-black camera bump featured on the Galaxy S20 with one that matches the device’s color. Each sensor is highlighted inside the module, a lot like on the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and the bump has a curved shape over the metal frame.
It appears that Samsung isn’t planning to add any extra cameras for the upcoming lineup – The company equipped the S21 with three rear sensors. However, upgrades of the regular sensor are expected for improved photos and videos.
Similarity To The S20
Samsung received favorable comments regarding the minimalist front side of the Galaxy S20, and the leaked renders suggest that the company chose to avoid “fixing” something that isn’t broken.
The 5G S21 looks a lot like its predecessor due to the presence of the 6.2-inch punch-hole screen. Samsung appears to have narrowed the bezels somehow, and the chin appears even slimmer now.
Therefore, the S21 5G and the S20 5G will be nearly identical in terms of sizing. Both are 151.7mm tall and 7.9mm thick without considering the camera bump.
The main aesthetical difference between the two is in width – The S21 is 71.2mm wide, while the S20 was only 69.1mm wide.
