RPGs games have always been so popular and so fun to play. The main game is usually exciting, and there are plenty of side missions, as well. Ever since 2000, many of the games went online, and they formed a new genre, called MMORPGs. But there are still some that you can play offline. We have written this article to give you the best two games, which are considered to be the best in the RPG world — The Elder Scrolls: Online and Guild Wars 2.
The Elder Scrolls: Online
This game was released on the 4th of April, back in 2014, and it is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
We were excited to find out that the Elder Scrolls series did something different, with The Elder Scrolls: Online. The game is set on the Tamriel continent, and the connections with the older Elder Scrolls games are quite loose. There are six classes and ten races, and each has some pros and cons. You can roam around the continent, do different quests, so you level up, and take part in numerous events. After six years, the game still glows.
Guild Wars 2
This game was released on the 28th of August, back in 2012, and it is available on PC. This game means a lot to the online RPG genre. In this storyline, you decide what to do, and the decisions have an impact on the story. There are also random events that replace the quests that you’d typically find in the usual RPG games.
The combat system also has excellent design. The combat depends on the professions, but you can take the environment as your alley and fight your enemies. There are five races and eight professions, and the gameplay will be affected by your choices. There are PvE and PvP environments which you can enjoy in the RPG game.
