The Expanse Season 5 Release Date And Other Details

Based on the series of novels with the same name by James S.A. Corey, The Expanse is a popular science fiction television series that has managed to charm many viewers. The action takes place in an alternate future where humanity has managed to colonize the solar system and follows a rag-tag team of antiheroes.

The team includes UNSE member Chrisjnen Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo), police detective Josephus Miller (Thomas Jane), ship’s officer James Holden, who is the ship’s officer (Steven Strait) and a rich supporting cast. A dangerous conspiracy is uncovered, and the characters will have to do everything t prevent the start of a new war.

Season 5 release date

While the series premiered on the Syfy, the channel decided to drop it after season 3 due to distribution restrictions. Dedicated fans started a campaign, urging Amazon to pick up the series for its Amazon Prime Video service, and the company decided to do so. Viewers can enjoy four seasons of The Expense currently, with season five being in the making, as it was ordered by Amazon in July 2019.

Amazon did not announce an official release date at this point, but it will likely arrive by the end of the year.

One of the biggest additions of season 4 was Keon Alexander, who appeared towards the end of the season as Marco Inaros, a new antagonist. Inaros is a political revolutionary who seeks to cause havoc, as he has already delivered a crippling strike to Earth.

Backed by the Free Navy, Inaros will pose a major threat to the team of the Rocinante, and season 5 will likely be great.
