The Sims 5 is one of the most popular franchises of the gaming world. The Sims 4 was launched in 2014 but thanks to a devoted team of developers, the game received constant updates and the newly added content never failed to impress. A new update for the game, named “Discover University” is just about to be released and this makes gamers very impatient because it might prove to be a transition between the current game and the following one (which actually hasn’t been officially announced yet), The Sims 5.
The Discover University Pack
In the rush to find hints towards the following game, players tried looking anywhere they could and it turned out that the timeline of The Sims 4 might suggest that The Sims 5 might be released bundled with the new Discover University pack.
Timeline and supposed release date
The roadmap of The Sims 4 (released by Maxis) acts as a hideout for details about the release date of The Sims 5. While some people argue that it is time for The Sims 4 to retire, developers are trying to stuff it with as much content as possible before they choose to announce the following game. This is important because it can help form a general idea about their schedule.
Even though developers are still secretive regarding the whole thing, it is no secret that “The Sims” franchise is a big hit in the world of gaming, so they will surely release the fifth installment of the series sooner or later. It’s believed that the “Discover University” pack will mark the end of The Sims 4 and the next game should be released in the second half of 2020.
Gamers might be eager to learn more about the features of the following Sims game but unfortunately they will have to be patient because the game hasn’t even been announced yet!
However, upon a closer look at the following Sims games, we can safely assume that The Sims 5 will feature reboots of previously introduced DLC. For example, “Seasons” and “Island living”, two of the expansion packs of The Sims 4 are just “remastered” editions of previous DLC’s from earlier games.
