Xiaomi is all set to release its first notebook on June 11 in India.
Recently, the company has officially announced the laptop will be called the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Horizon Edition. And that’s not all. Some features and specs are now out hinting at what we should expect from the device. Here is what you need to know.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Horizon Edition Specs and Features
Thanks to the retail package picture posted by Manu Kumar Jain, the CEO of Xiaomi India, some of the features have been leaked online. The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Horizon Edition is believed to arrive as an ultrabook with a premium design with a sleek light and thin form factor. Also, the notebook might feature a bezel-less display design, similar to some of the modern laptops from HP, Asus, and Dell, with a higher screen-to-body ratio.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Horizon Edition is expected to be a regular laptop. It might not arrive with a higher refresh rate, but it was confirmed to feature a 14-inch screen with FHD resolution. According to the image posted by Manu Kumar Jain, the device will arrive with a premium speaker setup with audio tuned by DTS and is likely to provide at least 2.1 channel surround sound.
The post also indicates that the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Horizon Edition is likely to support fast charging via the USB Type-C port or another charging port, and last up to 10 hours on a single charge. The device will be based on an SSD, and it will offer faster boot and load speed.
Given all these leaked specs and features, the standard version of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Horizon Edition might be released with an Intel Core i5 processor. The price tag could be around Rs. 40,000 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant.
